Fees
Patients without Japanese Health Insurance will be charged in accordance with the national hospital payment schedule in Shinjuku Ward.
For those who hold Japanese Health Insurance and would like to have consultation in English, there will be an English Language Consultation Fee of 6,000 yen, plus tax for each visit. Health Insurance Act (Act No. 70 of April 22, 1922) explains such services not directly related to medical care as translation services for those who require communication in a language other than Japanese. In case the subsequent, short-term, short-interval visit is requested by the doctor, such as the wound check-up after a surgical procedure, a Follow-Up English Language Consultation Fee of 4,000 yen, plus tax (instead of 6,000 yen, plus tax), may apply, based on the doctor's decision. Please note that the fee does not cover the excessive time for your consultation. In consideration of our other patients, if your consultation needs last longer than 10 minutes for the initial visit, and 5 minutes for each subsequent visit, there is an extra charge of 5,000 yen, plus tax, per 15 minutes and a second appointment may be necessary. Many other clinics do not charge for English consultation.
For those with Japanese Health Insurance, payment for other services that are covered by the insurance, including the cost of the examination, evaluation, laboratory tests and surgical procedures are requested at the end of the consultation. In addition, all costs that are not covered by Japanese Health Insurance, such as cosmetic medicine, must be paid for then as well.
Total body skin check is not covered by Japanese Health Insurance, if you desire to have an examination of 3 or more moles/lesions.
