RETINAL ACTIVE is a powerful combination of rejuvenation properties and anti-ageing antioxidants. It is an intense infusion of vitamin A, and actively works to help lessen the visible signs of skin damage from and UV ageing. This nourishing product contains retinaldehyde (retinal), and is particularly suitable in assisting with lessening the appearance of scars, deep wrinkles, stretch marks and atrophy due to its regulation of healthy cell renewal. Retinaldehyde is better tolerated than retinoic acid, making it a good option for those with sensitive or delicate skin.

It also targets and treats bacterial proliferation. RETINAL ACTIVE is a Dermapen approved pre- and post-operative cream for skin needing and clinical rejuvenation. It can also be used as an ongoing night cream.

Contraindications/Side effects/Warning

Contraindications: Pregnancy, breast feeding status, being allergic to anesthesiology cream/ metal needle/growth factor agents, and the procedure onto the skin with melasma

Frequent side effects: Erythema (redness of the skin), stinging/burning sensation, flaky skin, temporal and minor bleeding

Rare side effects: Allergic reaction against anesthesiology cream (1 in 20,000-50,000), allergic reaction against metal needle, herpes, keloid, temporal post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (1 in 50), and allergic reaction against key ingredients (1 in 200)

Warning: The procedure can cause color degradation of permanent makeup. One week or longer period is required after hair removal procedures to take Dermapen procedure. Any skin foliating agents such as topical tretinoin, adapalene, or benzoyl peroxide should be halted at least one week before the procedure and can be applied again one week after the procedure.

 

Appointment is necessary for the Dermapen 4 / Massage peeling therapy. On the first visit, we schedule the first time procedure day, which incurs the first time visit consultation fee. This first visit is first come first served during the regular office hours. If you would like to have the procedure on the first visit, an appointment is necessary over the phone. The deposit of 6,000 yen is necessary which is refunded on the day of the procedure. The deposit will not be refunded if you cancel the appointment, change your appointment, or are delayed for 15 minutes to show up for any reasons. The procedure is available on the days when trained nurses are on duty.
