Hyperhidrosis

If you have trouble in daily activities with too much sweating in axillas, palms and soles, you may be suffering from hyperhidrosis. For those who break paper documents with your hand sweating or those who are concerned about axillary sweating, please consult us regarding your problems.

The management of hypderhirdrosis include applying aluminum chloride for 3-4 weeks, oral medication, and botulinum toxin injection therapy in the axillary area.

Some topical medicines are covered by Japanese Health Insurance.  Those include anticholinergic agents such as ECCLOCK gel and Rapifort wipes for axillar hyperhidrosis , and APOHIDE lotion for palm hyperhidrosis. These topical medicine work by inhibiting cholinergic action of muscarinic receptors in eccrine sweat glands. There is also oral anticholinergic medicine (Pro-Banthine), which affects the entire body.
